Editorial Policy

Last updated: May 10, 2026

This page covers the standards we hold ourselves to. If you ever feel we’ve fallen short, please tell us at contact@cryptoandgoldprice.com.

Mission

We exist to help readers make sense of gold and Bitcoin prices and the forces that move them — without jargon, without spin, and without burying useful information under SEO clutter. We treat readers as smart adults capable of forming their own views when given good data and clear analysis.

Editorial team

  • Editor and primary author: DMAC, on behalf of The CryptoAndGoldPrice Team
  • Editorial oversight: All published content is reviewed by a human before going live, even when AI tools assist with research, drafting, or formatting.
  • Location: Ontario, Canada

How we source

For data, we draw from:

  • CoinGecko API (live cryptocurrency and gold proxy prices)
  • London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) for benchmark gold prices
  • COMEX for gold futures data
  • Bank of Canada for CAD/USD exchange rate context
  • Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) for macroeconomic indicators
  • Polymarket for prediction-market-implied probabilities
  • Public filings, press releases, and official statements from companies and central banks

Every factual claim should be traceable to a primary source. Where it isn’t, we note the uncertainty.

Fact-checking

Before publishing, statistics and price points are verified against the original source, quotes are checked against the original recording or transcript, and predictive or speculative claims are clearly labeled as such.

Use of AI

We use AI tools (large language models, including Anthropic’s Claude) to help with research, drafting, fact-checking, copyediting, and code. We disclose this here once, on the record, rather than caveating every post.

However: every published claim, recommendation, and chart is reviewed by a human before publication. AI doesn’t have the final word on what we say to you.

Corrections

If we publish something inaccurate: we fix it as soon as we’re aware. For material errors, we add a visible correction note explaining what changed and when. Trivial typos are corrected silently. To report an error: contact@cryptoandgoldprice.com with “CORRECTION” in the subject line.

Editorial independence — the firewall

We make money in several ways: affiliate links (see Affiliate Disclosure), display advertising (planned), newsletter sponsorships, and embeddable widget licensing.

None of these revenue streams influence editorial content.

  • A negative review is never softened because the company is an affiliate partner.
  • A positive review is never bought.
  • Sponsored content, when it exists, will be clearly labeled as such.
  • Affiliate decisions are made by editorial based on product quality first, commission rate second.

If a sponsor ever tries to dictate coverage, we end the relationship. Trust is the only moat we have.

What we don’t publish

  • Anything passed off as financial advice
  • Pump-and-dump schemes, “guaranteed” returns, or shilling
  • Content that misrepresents past or expected returns
  • Native advertising disguised as editorial

Newsletter editorial standards

The Vault follows the same standards as the site. Friday digests typically include curated news, original analysis, the weekly Polymarket verdict, and at most one affiliate placement per issue — clearly disclosed.
