CryptoAndGoldPrice.com (“we,” “us,” or “the site”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. We try to write this in plain English. Where we couldn’t avoid the legalese, we kept it short.

- Email address when you subscribe to The Vault newsletter
- Anything you send us by email or via a contact form
Information collected automatically:
- Standard log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) via Google Analytics and our hosting provider
- Cookies set by our analytics, embed widgets, and (in the future) ad-serving partners
- Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics
We don’t ask for your name, address, phone number, or financial information to use the site.
2. How we use your information
- To deliver The Vault newsletter to subscribers
- To improve site content based on what readers actually engage with
- To respond to emails and inquiries
- To detect abuse, bots, and security threats
- To comply with legal obligations
We don’t sell your personal data. We never have. We never will.
3. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies for analytics (Google Analytics via Site Kit), newsletter signup (Beehiiv), and future advertising partners (Google AdSense or equivalent — we’ll update this policy when that goes live). You can disable cookies in your browser settings.
4. Third-party services
We share data with: Google Analytics, Beehiiv (newsletter), GoDaddy (hosting), CoinGecko API (price data, server-side, no personal data), ImprovMX (email forwarding). Each is governed by its own privacy policy.
5. Data retention
- Newsletter subscribers: kept until unsubscribe + short retention
- Analytics: 14 months (Google Analytics defaults)
- Email: kept indefinitely unless you ask us to delete it
6. Your rights
Under Canadian PIPEDA and similar privacy frameworks (including GDPR for EU visitors), you have the right to access, correct, delete, withdraw consent, and complain to your local privacy regulator. Email contact@cryptoandgoldprice.com. We respond within 30 days.
7. Children’s privacy
Not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We don’t knowingly collect data from minors.
8. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page with a new “Last updated” date.
